Rules and Regulations of S. R. Modern School

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS / GUARDIANS

  • 1Pay the fee, in cash or by cheque, personally or through some reliable person directly to the school office during the office hours. The only proof of any payment made to the school for any purpose shall be the school receipt duly signed by the authorised persons. (DO NOT SEND CASH THROUGH YOUR WARD).
  • 2Parents should ensure that their ward come to the school in neat and clean uniform. Continuous default in this regard shall lead to a heavy fine.
  • 3 While attending the school and its functions, it is compulsory for the students to come in proper school uniform including PTMs
  • 4 Tutors will not be entertained in the school.
  • 5 Parents (both mother and father) must visit and meet the teacher concerned as and when they are called for by the teacher through their ward's diary and also on the day of the parent-teacher meeting. Such visits will be made by the father and the mother of ward or the guardian of the ward. (if he/she is not staying with his/her parent's).
  • 6 Parents must send a duly self signed letter, if they wish their ward to go home with any other person who is not his/her usual escort
  • 7 Notice sent to the parents from time to time must be read properly and must be signed as a proof of having read it. The instructions given there in should be compiled with.
  • 8It is compulsory for all the student to carry their I-card with them daily
  • 9 Students using their own transport should be dropped and picked up on time by parents/authorised escorts.
  • 10 Each ward must bring water bottle, tiffin box, napkin and a clean handkerchief daily to the school. The name of the ward must be written clearly on students belongings.
  • 11 All books and notebooks must be kept properly and slips bearing the name and section of the ward must be pasted on the outer cover of each book and notebook. Notebooks should be covered with brown paper.
  • 12 If your ward remains absent for seven continuous days without information or leave application, his/her name is liable to struck off the roll, if no reasonable cause is shown for the same.
  • 13 It is compulsory for all the students from classes I to VIII to study Hindi and Urdu along with English.
  • 14 It is imperative that the ward converses only in English during the school hours. Therefore, please encourage the ward to converse in English even at home.
  • 15 You must monitor the neatness and handwriting and completion of homework of your ward on a regular basis.
  • 16 Parents must not enter the classroom either to see their ward or to seek interview with the teachers / co-ordinators of respective section during school hours. They can meet the teachers / co-ordinators or the principal on P.T.M. days or 2nd Saturday between 9.00 am to 10.00 am only by an appointment, through their ward's school almanac/application/ telephonically.
  • 17 When writing to the school on any matter, they should address it to the principal and not to any other person at home.
  • 18 Parents are required to co-operate with the school in its attempt to orient the ward by paying attention to their regularity, punctuality and discipline and by taking interest in their ward's work.
  • 19 Parents should check their ward's almanac everyday for the home-work or for any other instructions given. They are also advised to check their ward's bag to see if any circular, invitation etc. has ben issued.
  • 20 Parents are required to inform the school timely, if there be any change in their address / telephone numbers or bus route.
  • 21 Leave for half day should be avoided, as far as possible, for security reasons.
  • 22 Students when sick should not be sent to school and a medical certificate to that effect shall be necessarily submitted upon resuming the school.
  • 23 Parent's attention is drawn to the fact that any criticism of a teacher of the school in the presence of their ward causes the ward to lose his/her respect for the teacher and will retard his / her progress. They must desist from doing so, in the interest of the ward and the institution on the whole.
  • 24 For security purposes, parents must not send their ward to school bedecked with expensive jewellery and money. The school will not take any responsibility for any lose resulting from it.
  • 25 Parents should sign the progress report and return it on the scheduled date, if the report is lost/misplaced, a replacement of it will be made only after a payment of 100/-
  • 26 Parents should ensure that their ward does not bring any objectionable reading material, except for the school books and the note-books to school.
  • 27 Parents should ensure that their ward does not bring mobile phone to school. It would be treated as serious breach of discipline. If done so, the mobile will be confiscated by the school.
  • 28 Important communication from the school is sent through SMS on the given mobile number of the parent/guardian. It is obligatory on the part of the parent /guardian to inform the school in writing regarding any change in their mobile number
  • 29 Parents should give their contact number/e-mail ID to receive the latest circulars and communication from the school.
  • 30 Students are advised to reach school at least 10 minutes before the commencement of the school timings. Students will not be allowed to enter the school after the school starts.


Attendance and Absence from School

  • 1It is compulsory for all the students to attend the general assembly in the morning. The school gates will be closed five minutes after the school starts and students who come late will not be allowed to attend the school.
  • 2No child can leave the school premises during school hours except with the permission of the principal, which may be granted only on receipt of an application duly signed by the parents and/or guardian in the record of the school (Parents to make a note of it).
  • 3 A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory for all students to appear in the final examination to be held at the end of the academic year. PTMs
  • 4 No leave or absence granted except on receiving an application from the parents and/or duly authorised guardian and/or responsible person as per school record for plausible reason only.
  • 5 Repeated absence without sanctioned leave or unexplained absence for more than seven consecutive days, will make the student liable to have his/ her name struck off rolls. Re-admission may be granted at the discretion of the principal on payment of prescribed re-admission fee and or fine, if any.
  • 6 Each student is compulsory required to attend the school on the opening day after each vacation, failing which his/her name is liable to be struck off the rolls and in that case he/she may be allowed to re-admission on the request from the parents explaining the reasons for such default. He/she will be liable to pay fine Rs. 100/- per day plus re-admission fee
  • 7 Those are attending on other school working without advance leave application be fined Rs. 25/- per day.
  • 8A student returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease or any sickness must produce a doctor's fitness certificate, permitting him/her to attend the school.
